Something that could make your life simpler: Name each row of desks in your class by the days of the week. Students line up for lunch, recess, etc. according to what day it is. This way everyone gets a chance to be in the front of the line, and you do not have to hear complaints. To use with younger students, name each row of the carpet where you have group time by the days of the week.
